The EPP EtherCAT P Box Modules series is a Beckhoff family of IP67 field modules designed for use in wet, dusty, and dirty industrial environments where decentralized I/O is needed close to the machine.
EtherCAT P combines communication and power on a single 4-core connection, transmitting two electrically isolated 24 VDC supply voltages alongside EtherCAT data through mechanically coded M8 connectors. Across the series, available versions support digital inputs, digital outputs, configurable analog inputs, and combinations of analog inputs and outputs, allowing the platform to cover a wide range of machine-level signal tasks. Depending on the module type, the series supports features such as configurable analog signal ranges, 16-bit conversion, adjustable filtering, limit monitoring, timestamp functions, and specialized processing for applications such as antivalent sensors or accelerometer signals. The platform is built for distributed automation with compact field-mountable construction, integrated status indication, and direct connection of sensors and actuators without requiring a separate control cabinet I/O layout.
