The Copley Controls XENUS Digital Loop Modules are fully digital servo drives that provide 100% digital control of brushless or brushed motors in an off-line powered package, with support for continuous power output up to 4 kW.
They can operate from a wide range of industrial mains supplies (100–240 VAC, single- or three-phase, 47–63 Hz) while using a separate +24 VDC logic supply to keep control electronics and communications active even when mains power is removed for safety. The series is offered in multiple models that map to different network interface options, including variants that support CANopen, EtherCAT-based solutions, or MACRO networking, enabling coordinated multi-axis motion and standardized motion-control profiles. For safety, the drives include Safe Torque Off functionality using dual inputs that inhibit the PWM output devices when de-energized, providing a hardware-level torque-off condition that cannot be overridden by firmware. Feedback and control flexibility are central to the platform, with support for multiple encoder technologies (including incremental, sin/cos, and serial/absolute formats) as well as resolver-capable versions, and operating modes that range from analog/PWM/digital command control to networked motion profiling and stand-alone program execution.
