Product Description:

The XEC-230-09 is a digital loop module created by Copley Controls for the XENUS Digital Loop Modules series. Installed between a motion controller and a three phase servo motor, it closes the current, velocity, and position loops required for precise industrial automation. It translates high level trajectories into controlled PWM signals for pick and place machines, semiconductor tools, and other multi axis systems.

Rated for a continuous output of 3 Adc, the module can surge to 9 Adc for brief acceleration events and hold that peak for 1 second before returning to nominal levels. A current loop that refreshes at 16 kHz helps shape the switch commands delivered to the power stage. Analog demand inputs are digitized at 12 bit resolution, giving fine command granularity for torque or velocity references.

An overvoltage threshold of 400 Vdc triggers shutdown protection, while energy is redirected to braking resistors once the DC link reaches 390 Vdc. Motor compatibility extends down to 200 µH of inductance, which helps limit current ripple at high switching frequencies. The quadrature decoder accepts feedback at 8 Mcount/s, and step and direction commands are processed at 4 MHz. A 4 kHz velocity and position update rate keeps motion synchronized with upstream controllers during fast indexing.

Wake Industrial keeps this module in stock and provides a one year warranty on every purchase. Same day shipping is available when production schedules demand fast replacement. The chat tool available on the website answers questions about fault codes, type codes, or manufacturer details.
