Product Description:

The 800-1639 is a mid-size digital servo drive manufactured by Copley Controls Corporation for both brushless and brush-type motors. With its compact and flat design, the 800-1639 is appropriate for a variety of applications requiring a tight configuration. Particularly, the 800-1639 is part of the Xenus XTL drive family, boasting powerful control modes such as indexer, camming, position, torque, and velocity, among others. Like other Xenus XTL drives, the 800-1639 boasts a built-in feedback for CANopen/DeviceNet and RS232 communication protocols. Compared with other brands manufacturing digital servo drives, Copley’s Xenus product line offers various feedback options such as resolver, digital halls, analog sin/cos encoder, and digital quad encoder.

The 800-1639 supports an input voltage range of 100 to 240 volts. To accommodate different countries and regions, the 800-1639 is compatible with both 50- and 60-hertz systems. At the nominal voltage range, the 800-1639 can deliver a peak current of around 20 amperes. Aside from AC inputs, however, this digital servo drive by Copley Controls can also accommodate DC inputs for motor control. When used with a DC mains supply, the 800-1639 can accommodate a maximum DC bus voltage of up to 373 V. At this voltage level, the continuous output current can reach up to 20 amperes. Meanwhile, the drive’s peak current at DC operation can reach as high as 40 amperes.

Like most of Copley Control’s Xenus drives, the 800-1639 facilitates control of brushless motors digitally. At rated conditions, Xenus drives can achieve an output power of 4 kW. Depending on the added optional accessories, the maximum dimension of the 800-1639 may vary. For most Xenus drives, however, the standard dimensions in inches are 7.5 x 5.5 x 2.5 inches.
