The ADP 3-Phase Induction Motors from Bosch Rexroth Indramat comprise asynchronous housing motors with squirrel-cage rotors, designed as rotary main or servo drive motors for industrial machinery.
The series uses surface ventilation with permanently connected fan units, and the fan operates independently from the drive controller with its own mains connection and motor protection switch. ADP motors are offered in multiple frame sizes and type-code options, with a rated power range extending up to 37.7 kW, and they are intended for applications such as machine tools, printing/paper converting, packaging/food processing, and forming machines. Environmental and protection design is defined in the planning data, including nominal performance at 0 to +40 °C and 0 to 1000 m installation altitude, plus IP ratings that can reach IP65 at the shaft and at the power/feedback connection areas depending on the selected sealing and connection options. For integration, the series is approved for operation with POWERDRIVE control units and is commonly supplied with an integrated incremental encoder (1 Vpp sinusoidal, 2048 lines), with mechanical and functional variants such as smooth or keyed shafts, optional shaft seals, and optional holding-brake provisions selected through the type code.
