The IP Compact Box Units series is a family of Beckhoff Fieldbus Box modules designed to connect field-level sensors and actuators directly to higher-level fieldbus systems in a compact distributed I/O format.
The series supports a broad range of industrial signal types, including digital and analog I/O, thermocouple and RTD measurement, incremental encoder functions, and serial communication interfaces depending on the module version. Connection options across the platform include 8 mm snap-on, M8 screw-in, and M12 screw-in interfaces, with M12 versions used for analog signal handling. The units are built so that internal logic, input circuitry, and sensor supply are fed from the control voltage, while output load voltage can be supplied separately when required by the application.
