The IP1001-B310-0000 is a compact box for decentralized signal acquisition in hostile environments. It features input connection through screw connectors that offer secure, vibration-dampened contact appropriate for industrial use. An onboard input filter with a 3.0 ms delay is also featured, which allows effective suppression of signal bounce or transient noise.

Data communications performance is improved with automatic transfer rate detection up to 12 Mbaud without the intervention of human beings and with system integration into installed systems with ease. A one M12 socket, 5-pin, B-coded bus interface is available for easy, secure fieldbus network attachment. Installation becomes easier with the system but high reliability in communication is provided by it. Shielded copper cable, 2 x 0.25 mm², is utilized as the data channel. Protection in this unit keeps signal integrity. It limits the electromagnetic interference. It gives better communication in electrically hostile areas. PA6 polyamide is used in this model to fabricate the housing. Its compact size is convenient in space-constrained tasks where larger units would be hard to handle.
