The Rexroth EFC Frequency Converters are cabinet-mounted variable frequency drives designed for industrial machinery, with IP20 construction and a parameter/diagnostics interface provided through an operating panel.

They support common supply classes including 200–240 VAC and 380–480 VAC three-phase, delivering an adjustable motor output frequency up to 400 Hz across power ranges that extend from fractional kilowatt units into higher-power frames depending on series and supply voltage. Control functions include V/f control with selectable curve types , plus enhanced performance modes on certain models such as sensorless vector control and support for permanent-magnet synchronous motors with motor parameter auto-tuning. Built-in application features cover multi-speed operation, programmable acceleration/deceleration profiles (including linear and S-curve), DC braking, a simple PLC function for staged sequences, and PID control for process regulation with selectable reference/feedback sources. For integration and safety, the drives provide configurable I/O (including analog and digital signals), standard Modbus communication over RS485, and a broad protection set such as overcurrent, over/undervoltage, phase-loss detection, thermal and overload protections, short-circuit/ground-fault measures, and Safe Torque Off on supported models.
