Product Description:
The EFC3600-4K00-3P4-MDA-7P-NNNN frequency converter is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the EFC Frequency Converters series. It is a standalone drive intended to vary the speed of standard AC induction motors in manufacturing cells, conveyors, and pumping stations, enabling process optimization and energy savings in industrial automation. Its compact standalone format also supports installation in control panels where centralized motor speed regulation is required.
The drive communicates over Modbus, allowing PLCs and HMIs to issue run, stop, and parameter commands through a single two-wire link. Its control algorithm is Enhanced V/Hz control, which keeps motor torque proportional to frequency so acceleration remains consistent at low speed. The power section accepts a nominal supply of 400 V from grids that may fluctuate between 380 and 480 V. It uses three-phase power, giving symmetrical current draw and reducing harmonic stress on the mains. In heavy-duty operation, the inverter can deliver up to 4.0 kW of mechanical shaft power. The control section is supplied in a standard configuration, and the Flex-Control section adds digital and analog I/O for local logic and process signals.
The converter includes a built-in filter for industrial area, Class C3 use, helping keep conducted emissions within factory lines. All circuitry is housed in an enclosure classified as IP20, so installation should be inside a ventilated panel where protection against accidental finger contact is sufficient. Mechanical dimensions follow frame size D, which helps the unit fit cabinet layouts intended for this housing size. A standard LCD interface with an integral potentiometer lets users set speed references directly from the front panel. Supplied in its default configuration, it ships with I/O assignments that can be reassigned through parameter 100 to match site-specific start, fault, and speed commands.
