Product Description:
The EFC5610-3K00-3P4-MDB-NN-FCPNN-L1NN is a frequency converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the EFC Frequency Converters series. It belongs to the EFC 5610 model group within product line 02. In an automation cell, the unit converts incoming AC power into a variable output so motor speed and torque can be matched to process demand in conveyors, pumps, or fan drives. This operating method allows the connected motor to run at speeds that better match the application instead of remaining fixed to line frequency.
Incoming power is accepted over a three-wire supply at 400 V (AC 380…480 V -15 % / +10 %), and the converter is wired for three-phase power, matching common industrial mains. For electromagnetic compatibility, it carries an integrated filter rated for industrial area, Class C3, which helps suppress conducted emissions on long motor cables. Drive regulation is handled by standard vector control (SVC), a control method that supports stable motor flux and torque through a broad speed range. Parameter access and diagnostics are exchanged through Modbus, allowing integration with a PLC without optional communication cards. The power section is cooled by a cold plate, while the control section uses the Flex-Control layout with Standard I/O so digital and analog signals can be wired directly to terminal strips. A dust cover replaces a keypad and protects the slot against debris.
Under heavy-duty loading, the converter supports motors up to 3.0 kW, a rating that matches its Frame size D enclosure. The cold-plate assembly meets the IP 20 Cold Plate protection class, so live parts remain finger-safe when the unit is mounted on a heat sink inside a control cabinet. A certified Safe Torque Off (STO) circuit is built in, enabling Category 0 stop functions without external contactors. Cold-plate cooling also moves heat to the mounting surface, which helps keep internal cabinet airflow demands lower than they would be with a fan-cooled power stage.
