Product Description:
The EFC5610-55K0-3P4-MDA-7P-FCPNN-L1NN is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the EFC Frequency Converters series. Within the EFC 5610 model subset and product line 02, the unit converts fixed-frequency mains power into a variable output for induction motors in automated systems. By regulating voltage and frequency, it allows precise speed and torque adjustment for conveyors, pumps, fans, and general production axes while supporting efficient operation and steady process control. Output voltage and frequency are adjusted together so the motor can respond to changing load demands without abrupt speed steps.
Designed for heavy-duty service, the converter delivers 55.0 kW and uses the compact Frame Size I platform. Its power stage accepts 400 V (AC 380…480 V −15 %/+10 %) on three phases, and Standard Vector control SVC helps maintain torque at low speed during variable-load operation. The standard control configuration uses the Flex-Control section and standard I/O, so sensors and analog commands can be wired directly. Standard I/O also supports direct connection of common field devices without add-on interface hardware. A standard LCD display with a potentiometer allows local speed setting and alarm viewing. The control electronics draw power from the internal DC link, so no auxiliary supply is required.
For networked control, the drive offers Modbus communication, allowing direct exchange of run commands and feedback with a basic PLC. Modbus communication also allows status words and fault information to be read by the supervisory controller. The built-in EMC filter, qualified for Industrial area, class C3, reduces conducted noise on the supply lines. With an IP 20 housing, the converter is finger-safe and intended for cabinet installation. The integrated safety channel Safe Torque Off (STO) removes torque-producing power to the motor without external contactors, simplifying stop category 0 implementation.
