Bosch Rexroth manufactures the EFC 5610 series of frequency converters. These frequency converters facilitate energy savings and enhance vector control for a high starting torque and a functional torque curve. The EFC5610-15K0-3P4-MDA-7P-NNNNN-L1NN, a model in this family of frequency converters, is used to control permanent magnet motors using sensorless vector control (SVC). This results in significantly improved motor control accuracy. It also features a detachable operator panel with data memory that enables fast startup and efficient parameter transfer. When the panel is detached, diagnostic LEDs on the device ensure that it is operated correctly and that any faults can be promptly detected.
The EFC5610-15K0-3P4-MDA-7P-NNNNN-L1NN uses a three-phase AC power input between 380 V and 480 V (-15% / +10%). With this, it can generate a maximum power output of 15.0 kW. It is equipped with a built-in brake chopper of 22 kW, a built-in mains filter, and an external brake resistor. The bus system onboard the converter is the Modbus RTU, but external options such as PROFIBUS, CANopen, and Multi-Ethernet can also be used. Based on the IEC/EN 61800-3 requirement, it is only recommended for use in industrial areas as it belongs to the C3 category. The display on its user panel is a clear 5-digit, 7-segment LED.
