Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the EFC5610-90K0-3P4-MDA-7P-FCPNN-L1NN frequency converter as part of the EFC Frequency Converters series and the EFC 5610 model family. The unit sits in the frequency converters product group and is designed to modulate a three-phase AC supply so industrial pumps, fans, and conveyors can be started smoothly, run at variable speed, and stopped under controlled torque. The converter belongs to product line 02.
The drive is supplied in frame size J, giving mounting dimensions consistent with other high-power units in the range. It operates from a three-phase mains of 400 V (AC 380 to 480 V, -15% / +10%) and, in heavy-duty mode, can deliver up to 90.0 kW of mechanical output to the connected motor. Protection class IP 20 indicates that only solid objects larger than 12 mm can enter the enclosure, so the converter is intended for cabinet installation with forced ventilation. An internal EMC filter certified for industrial areas, class C3, reduces high-frequency disturbance on supply conductors and helps the system meet plant-level electromagnetic compatibility rules.
Control tasks are managed by the Flex-Control section with Standard I/O and the standard vector control SVC algorithm, which maintains motor flux and torque without external feedback devices. Parameterization is performed locally through the integrated LCD display with a front-panel potentiometer, or remotely through the Modbus communication interface supported on the terminal strip. The default Standard control configuration exposes discrete inputs, analog references, and relay outputs so common machine logic can be wired directly. For functional safety, the integrated Safe Torque Off channel disables the gate drivers instantly, cutting power to the motor and preventing unintended rotation during maintenance or emergency stops.
