Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the EFC5610-4K00-3P4-MDB-NN-FCPNN-NNNN, a member of the EFC Frequency Converters series. The unit functions as a frequency converter that modulates motor speed by varying the output frequency and voltage supplied to an AC drive system. Within automated production cells, it links utility power to induction motors and supports energy-efficient speed regulation, controlled acceleration, and deceleration without mechanical gear changes.

The drive communicates with PLCs over Modbus, allowing parameter adjustment and status polling through a serial link. Its Flex-Control with Standard I/O board provides eight digital channels for start commands, direction control, and fault signaling. Closed-loop regulation is handled by Standard Vector control SVC, which maintains slip compensation under varying loads. For installations in noisy plants, the filter stage is rated Industrial area, class C3, which helps reduce conducted emissions to adjacent equipment. The power section accepts a mains supply centered on 400 V (AC 380…480 V −15 % / +10 %), so it can operate from common factory feeders without an autotransformer. In heavy-duty mode, the inverter supplies 4.0 kW to the motor, making it suitable for conveyors, pumps, and fans that may see brief overloads. The output bridge is wired for Three phases, so no phase-splitting hardware is needed. The unit uses a dust cover instead of a front display, and adjustments therefore rely on remote software or an optional keypad. It does not include an integrated safety function, so any required Safe Torque Off function must be provided by external equipment.
