The Danfoss VLT EZ FC 321 Automation Drives series is a family of variable frequency drives developed for industrial machine and production-line applications that require variable-speed control of asynchronous and permanent-magnet motors.
The series is designed around a reduced-variant platform with standard built-in functionality, allowing faster stocking, simpler startup, and expansion through plug-and-play options and fieldbus additions. Available supply classes include 3 x 200–240 V, 3 x 380–480/500 V, 3 x 525–600 V, and 3 x 525–690 V versions, with power coverage ranging from fractional-horsepower sizes up to 200 HP depending on voltage class. Standard features include Safe Torque Off, integrated DC chokes and RFI filters, a Smart Start wizard with common application groups, and condition-based monitoring support for predictive maintenance. The FC 321 platform is also built for industrial environments through coated electronics, enclosure options up to NEMA 4X on selected models, full-load factory testing, and commissioning through a graphical control panel intended to reduce setup time.
