The 132N7080 is a variable frequency drive built by Danfoss for the VLT EZ FC 321 Automation Drives series. Installed between the plant supply and an induction motor, it converts fixed line power into a regulated, variable output for controlled motor operation. By adjusting output frequency and voltage, the drive supports accurate speed control, reduces inrush current during startup, and helps limit mechanical stress on conveyors, packaging machines, and HVAC fans. This operating method also lets the connected motor follow changing process demand without requiring constant full-speed operation. In applications with varying load or airflow requirements, that behavior can improve process stability and reduce unnecessary motor heating during partial-load operation.

The inverter provides 15 HP of mechanical output, which corresponds to 11 kW at the motor terminals. It accepts a three-phase 200–240 VAC mains feed, so it can be supplied directly from matching low-voltage industrial power systems. The sealed backplate has an IP66 / NEMA 4X Backplate rating that helps protect the electronics during washdown or dust exposure. For electromagnetic compliance, the integrated filter meets RFI Class A2 (C3). There is no mains-disconnect option, and the printed circuit boards are not coated, so the enclosure and installation environment remain important for long-term protection. The stated output rating suits medium-power motor control where compact installation and sealed mounting surfaces are needed.

Communication is handled by the EtherNet/IP MCA 121 module, while local interaction uses the Graphical Local Control Panel with multiline text and bar-graph load indication. During rapid stops, the built-in brake chopper diverts excess DC-bus energy to an external resistor so the drive can manage regenerative braking energy. Cable management uses smooth imperial cable entries that accept standard North American conduit fittings. This build has no adaptation on side B and no B-option hardware. It also omits D, C0, C1, and additional software options, and it uses the standard language pack with standard software for parameter setup.
