Product Description:
The 132N7120 is a variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT EZ FC 321 Automation Drives series. Positioned within the VLT AutomationDrive EZ product group, the device modulates induction motor speed so conveyors, pumps, and packaging axes draw only the torque demanded by the process. By converting the incoming three-phase supply into a controlled output frequency, it provides precise acceleration, steady-state regulation, and soft stopping in automated lines that require consistent motion control. This operating method helps the connected motor follow changing process demand without abrupt speed changes.
The drive supplies up to 90 kW of continuous mechanical power, which is equivalent to 125 HP. It operates from a three-phase 380-500 VAC network, which covers the common 400 V industrial bus and allows use in many standard industrial facilities without a transformer. The enclosure has an IP20 / chassis protection level, so it is finger-safe after installation in a cabinet but is not dust-tight on its own. This arrangement is intended for enclosed panel installation rather than exposed mounting on the machine. Integrated line suppression rated RFI Class A2 (C3) reduces conducted noise and helps control EMC interference in mixed-voltage panels. Because no brake chopper is fitted, regenerative energy must be handled externally.
Parameters are set with the Graphical Local Control Panel, which displays trend curves and alarm text on the front cover for local monitoring. A coated PCB protects solder joints against humidity when the unit is installed inside a protective cabinet, which is useful in cabinets located near washdown areas. Cabinet assembly is simplified by standard cable entries, which suit common knockout layouts and keep cable routing straightforward. The drive uses the latest release - standard software with the standard language pack.
