Product Description:
The FC-321P1K5T5P66H2BGXXSXSXXXXAXBXCXXXXDX is an AC variable frequency drive built by Danfoss for the VLT EZ FC 321 Automation Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency three-phase power into a modulated output so induction motors can run at the speed required by the process. In automated plants, the unit links to a PLC or uses its keypad to adjust pump, fan, or conveyor speed, reducing energy use and mechanical wear. A sealed backplate design allows the drive to be mounted close to the load without a separate cabinet.
Rated at 1.5 kW, the inverter delivers electrical power equivalent to 2.0 HP, matching small to mid-sized motors. It is designed for a three-phase 380–500 VAC mains supply, so no transformer is needed in typical 400 V networks. The built-in filter meets RFI Class A2 (C3) requirements to limit conducted emissions in industrial areas. The IP66 and NEMA 4X backplate enclosure permits wall mounting in washdown or dusty areas without an additional enclosure. Parameter entry and drive status are handled through the detachable keypad, providing direct access to operating settings and diagnostic information. Optional fieldbus cards can be inserted when the application requires communication with a networked control system.
A built-in brake chopper manages DC-link energy during rapid deceleration and keeps the bus voltage within safe limits. Users interact with the drive through the Graphical Local Control Panel, which presents real-time operating data and supports local configuration. The Standard Language Pack provides multilingual menus for applications used across different regions. Because the electronics include an uncoated PCB, installations in chemically aggressive areas must provide clean air around the drive. Smooth imperial cable entries are supplied under Adaptation A to simplify conduit alignment during installation. Vacant option bays provide space for future I/O or communication modules without changing the drive’s primary power section.
