The 132L4553 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT EZ FC 321 Automation Drives series. It is a chassis-mount unit intended for cabinet installation where a compact footprint and straightforward wiring are required. By converting fixed mains power into a regulated pulse-width-modulated output, it allows control systems to vary induction-motor speed to match process demand instead of running motors only at full line frequency. This makes the drive suitable for common factory equipment such as pumps, fans, and conveyors, where adjustable speed can improve process control and reduce unnecessary energy use during partial-load operation.

This drive accepts a supply of three-phase 200–240 VAC and produces a continuous mechanical output of 11 kW, equivalent to 15 HP for equipment sizing. The enclosure is rated at IP20 / Chassis, so the unit is intended for installation inside a protective control panel while still providing touch protection for internal live parts. To limit conducted emissions on long motor leads, an integrated filter meets RFI Class A2 (C3) and supports use in typical industrial EMC environments. During deceleration, the internal brake circuit can direct regenerated energy to an external resistor to help prevent DC-bus overvoltage and maintain controlled stopping on loads with significant rotating inertia.

A graphical local control panel provides parameter access, trending, and fault readout without the need for a separate programming device during normal setup and service. The drive includes a factory-fitted brake chopper for dynamic braking when an external resistor is connected, which is useful where stopping times must be managed more tightly than coast-down alone would allow. Cable routing is simplified by standard cable entries, and the electronics use an uncoated PCB, so the drive should be installed in a clean, dry enclosure with protection from moisture and airborne contaminants. The standard hardware layout leaves auxiliary option positions vacant, keeping the base configuration focused on core speed-control functions.
