Product Description:
The Danfoss 132N7124 variable frequency drive belongs to the VLT EZ FC 321 Automation Drives series. It regulates induction motor torque and speed in automated conveyors, mixers, and pump stations. This gives PLCs a direct means to match motor output to process demand while reducing energy use and mechanical stress during changing load conditions.
The drive supplies up to 150 HP, a range suited to medium-power production lines, and its continuous electrical capacity reaches 110 kW, so feeder cables and protection devices must be sized accordingly. Input terminals accept three-phase 380–500 VAC, covering typical industrial mains worldwide. The housing has an IP20 chassis rating, which protects against accidental contact yet still requires cabinet installation for dust or moisture control. An integrated RFI Class A2 (C3) filter limits conducted emissions for general industrial environments and helps support cleaner power distribution. Safe-stop hardware is omitted, and the unit has no brake chopper, so rapid deceleration must be handled by an external resistor or mechanical brake. There is no Mains Option module, and the unit comes without A, B, or D options, so additional I/O, fieldbus, or harmonic-mitigation hardware is not factory fitted.
User interaction is through the Graphical Local Control Panel, which provides parameter access and real-time readouts at the cabinet door without external tools. Circuit boards use a coated PCB layer that resists humidity and airborne contaminants. The drive uses the latest standard software release, and multilingual operation is provided by the Standard Language Pack. Cable routing follows standard cable entries, and there is no adaptation B, C0, or C1 provision, so enclosure penetrations remain unchanged from the base design. The product is part of the VLT AutomationDrive EZ group and uses series 321 coding, which identifies its place in that drive range.
