The 132L4870 is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT EZ FC 321 Automation Drives series. It controls motor speed on conveyors, fans, and pumps by varying the output frequency and voltage sent to the connected motor. This arrangement helps match motor speed to process demand in compact automation systems. The unit is intended for close-to-motor installation in three-phase 200-240 V applications, where its sealed housing can reduce the amount of panel wiring required. Because the enclosure is designed for mounting near the machine, it can be used where a traditional control cabinet is not placed next to the motor.

It delivers a mechanical output of 0.75 HP, which corresponds to an electrical rating of 0.55 kW. This output range suits small centrifugal loads and other light-duty machinery that do not require a larger inverter. The input side accepts three-phase 200-240 VAC, and the aluminum enclosure has an IP66 / NEMA 4X backplate classification for washdown mounting without an additional cabinet. An integrated Graphical Local Control Panel shows parameter menus and real-time process values directly at the drive, which supports local setup and status checks.

Electromagnetic compatibility is improved by the built-in RFI Class A2 (C3) filter, which reduces conducted noise on supply lines. Dynamic stopping is supported by a brake chopper, so the drive can handle rapid deceleration without external resistor switching hardware. The control electronics use an uncoated PCB, so the unit should be installed away from corrosive vapors or other aggressive contaminants. The drive includes the standard language pack, and this configuration leaves option slots A, B, C, C0, C1, and D empty. Smooth imperial cable entries are provided under Adaptation A, while Adaptation B is unused.
