Product Description:
The 132L4894 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT EZ FC 321 Automation Drives series. By converting fixed-frequency mains power into a controlled output waveform, it lets production machinery match motor speed to process demand, which can improve energy use and motion accuracy. The drive is intended for general automation tasks that need decentralized mounting and straightforward setup. This type of unit is commonly used where stable speed control is needed without a large control cabinet. Typical applications include centrifugal pumps, axial fans, and conveyor belts on packaging lines.
It has a continuous mechanical output of 11 kW, which corresponds to 15 HP. The power stage operates from a three-phase 380-500 VAC supply and uses an integrated brake chopper to handle regenerated energy during deceleration. This arrangement helps the drive manage repeated speed changes in applications with frequent stopping or ramp-down. The unit uses an IP66 / NEMA 4X backplate design, allowing washdown mounting outside a cabinet. Local operation is handled through a graphical local control panel, which displays real-time values and stores parameter settings. No auxiliary I/O or sensor boards are installed, so the standard terminal strip carries the control signals.
The drive belongs to the VLT AutomationDrive EZ product group. Conducted interference is limited by the built-in RFI Class A2 (C3) filter, which supports use in industrial electrical environments. The control boards use an uncoated PCB finish, so the unit should be installed away from airborne corrosives. A standard language pack is included for local menu navigation. Smooth imperial cable entries are provided as Adaptation A, while Adaptation B is unassigned. No mains option is installed, so disconnects and EMC line reactors must be supplied externally. The C0, C1, and D option slots are vacant, leaving internal space for airflow.
