The 132L4911 is an AC variable-frequency drive from Danfoss in the VLT EZ FC 321 Automation Drives series. It adjusts motor speed by changing output frequency, which helps pumps, fans, and conveyors follow process demand more closely. By varying frequency rather than running a motor at full line speed all the time, the drive helps mechanical systems match changing load conditions. That approach can reduce unnecessary motor stress in variable-torque applications.

This model supports motors up to 20 HP, which corresponds to an electrical rating of 15 kW. It operates from a three-phase 525-600 VAC mains supply, so it can connect directly to suitable plant power systems. An IP66 / NEMA 4X backplate helps protect internal parts from dust, washdown water, and corrosive conditions, making the unit suitable for exposed mounting locations. Regenerative energy produced during fast deceleration is handled by an integrated brake chopper, which helps prevent DC-link overvoltage during stopping events. This arrangement is useful on systems that brake frequently, such as conveyors or fan applications with short ramp-down times. The unit is supplied without an RFI filter, so external filtering may be needed where electromagnetic compatibility limits apply.

User interaction is handled through a Graphical Local Control Panel that shows operating values, status information, and fault messages in a readable format. The control board uses an uncoated PCB, so the drive should be installed away from condensing humidity and other moisture-prone environments. Menu text is provided through the factory-loaded Standard Language Pack, which supports straightforward navigation during setup and normal operation. The enclosure also uses imperial cable entries, which can simplify conduit routing in installations built around inch-based fittings. The keypad can be used to review alarms and operating values locally, which is useful when an external interface is not available.
