Product Description:
The FC-321P2K2T5E20H2BGXXXXSXXXXAXBXCXXXXDX is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT EZ FC 321 Automation Drives series. Designed for installation inside an electrical panel, the unit converts fixed-frequency industrial mains power into a variable-frequency output for motor control. This operation allows a connected control system to adjust motor speed according to changing process demand rather than running the motor continuously at full speed. The drive is suitable for conveyors, pumps, fans, and similar motor-driven equipment used on factory floors. Its panel-mounted format allows the drive to be incorporated into centralized automation cabinets with the associated control and power components.
The drive provides up to 3.0 HP of mechanical output from an electrical power rating of 2.2 kW. It accepts a three-phase 380–500 VAC supply, allowing connection to common industrial power networks within that voltage range. The IP20 chassis enclosure provides basic protection against accidental finger contact but does not protect the electronics from dust or moisture. Installation in a closed electrical cabinet is therefore necessary when the surrounding area contains airborne contaminants or elevated humidity. Conducted electrical interference is reduced by an integrated RFI Class A2 (C3) filter, which helps limit noise returned to the supply network. A built-in brake chopper provides a path for managing regenerated energy during rapid motor deceleration, helping prevent excessive DC-bus voltage. Appropriate external braking components must be selected according to the connected motor and application requirements.
Field setup is performed through the Graphical Local Control Panel, which presents drive parameters through readable menus and uses the standard language pack. Settings are retained in flash memory, allowing configured values to remain available after the drive is powered down. The housing includes standard cable entries under Adaptation A, simplifying the routing of mains, motor, and control wiring into the panel. Adaptation B leaves the housing unchanged, so special conduit plates are not included. Because the printed circuit boards do not have a protective coating, the unit should be installed indoors and kept away from corrosive gases, conductive dust, and excessive moisture. Adequate cabinet ventilation should also be provided so heat generated by the power electronics can leave the enclosure during sustained operation.
