The 132L4591 is an AC variable-speed drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT EZ FC 321 Automation Drives series. Installed in control cabinets, the unit varies incoming line frequency to control induction motor torque and speed in conveyors, pumps, and other automated process equipment. It is intended for medium-power machinery where adjustable motor speed is needed for smoother starts, controlled acceleration, and more stable process regulation. By adjusting motor output instead of relying only on mechanical throttling or fixed-speed operation, the drive can also help reduce wear in connected equipment.

It operates from a three-phase supply of 525–600 VAC, which suits 575 V systems without an external transformer. The drive has a power rating of 45 kW and a corresponding motor output of 60 HP. A built-in brake chopper allows connection of a braking resistor so regenerated energy from decelerating loads can be dissipated during stopping. That function is useful on applications with frequent deceleration or overhauling loads that return energy to the drive. The housing uses an IP20 chassis enclosure, so the unit must be mounted inside a protected cabinet while still allowing airflow for cooling.

User access is provided through a Graphical Local Control Panel on the front of the drive, allowing parameter entry and status viewing at the unit. For wiring, the housing uses standard cable entries, so power and control conductors can be routed without additional entry hardware. The power section uses an uncoated PCB, which is suited to clean, dry cabinet environments. The unit also has the lack of an RFI filter, so conducted-emission control must be handled with external filtering when the installation requires it. This allows the electrical noise solution to be selected according to the needs of the application.
