Product Description:

The EPP2338-0002 is one of the many products designed by Beckhoff to supplement the EtherCAT communication technology; it is an EtherCAT P Box with eight digital channels that can function as either an output or input interface depending on what is required. The connection channels integrated into this product do not require any configuration; however, when they are used as input channels, they have a 10-microsecond filter that prevents electrical interference. The internal input circuit present in this product has been permanently connected to the output driver so as to ensure that a set output will be automatically displayed in the input process image.
The EPP2338-0002 EtherCAT P Box is completely impervious to short circuiting and damage from inverse polarity. The bus interface on the Box is an M8 socket, which is waterproof and resistant to dust and water penetration. The interface requires a P-Coded, shielded connectors. Also, the Input/output connections are M12 interfaces that require 5-pin A-coded connectors. There are three types of loads that can be used with this product: Ohmic, Inductive, and lamp load.
The housing material of the EPP2338-0002 EtherCAT P box is made from polyamide, which is highly resistant to both physical and chemical damage. According to IP ratings, this product belongs to IP67 and is not affected by any type of foreign disturbance. The Box is also passed through rigorous vibration and shock tests before it is approved for distribution. It conforms to the EN60068-2-6/EN 60068-2-27 vibration class.
