Product Description:

The EPP1018-0001 is an EtherCAT P Box designed to improve EtherCAT communication technology with a process in which communication and supply voltages are transmitted on a common line. Its digital inputs acquire binary control signals from the process level and transfer them with electrical isolation to the controller. The electrical isolation provided by this product makes it possible for signal voltages to be switched independently. The box is also equipped with light-emitting diodes to communicate the signal state to operators in real time. This EtherCAT box module is manufactured by Beckhoff Automation, has a very strong housing and can be used in wet, dirty, or dusty industrial environments without any problem. The signal connection is established on this product through a screw-type M8 connection, and the product also features several input filters at different speeds.

There are about 8 different digital input connections on this product; these are type 3 connections designed according to EN61131-2. The input current at the digital input is about 6 milliamperes, while the sensor power supply is 24 volts. The EPP1018-0001 housing is made from polyamide; it is 30 millimeters wide, with a height and depth of 126 millimeters and 26.5 millimeters, respectively. The recommended ambient temperature around this product during operation falls between -25 to about 60 degrees Celsius, and it can withstand an ambient temperature between -40 to +85 degrees Celsius when it is at a standstill.

The vibration resistance of the EPP1018-0001 EtherCAT box P is according to EN 600068-26; it also conformed to EN 61000-6-1 EMC immunity. This product is delivered with two protective caps for the EtherCAT P socket and 10 blank labels. The total weight of the product is approximately 95 grams.
