Product Description:

The EPP1004-0061 is a state-of-the-art EtherCAT P box from Beckhoff Automation. This box offers a reliable interface for connecting smaller remote stations, and to prevent potential damage caused by incorrect connection with standard EtherCAT slaves. The product has a black color with a strong housing produced from polyamide material. The product also meets the highest protection standard under the IP rating, its housing offers complete protection against ingress of dust and airborne particles, it also offers protection against water and liquids up to and including immersion in up to one meter of water. Binary codes from the process level are acquired through the digital inputs on this product and transmitted in an electrically isolated form to the controller. Operators are also allowed to monitor the signal state through Light Emitting Diodes built into the device.

The EPP1004-0061 contains two M8 sockets and a 4 pin water proof screw. These connectors are very versatile and are appropriate for a wide range of applications. The nominal supply voltage provided through the connectors on the EtherCAT P box is about 24 volts, while the maximum current is 3 amperes. During operation, this product requires a rated voltage of 24 volts although a deviation of up to 15 percent is allowed.

There are four digital inputs on this device, each of these digital input feature an input filter that eliminates undesired high frequencies that are present on the input lines. The signal voltage on this product falls between +11 to + 30 volts. The EPP1004-0061 has gone through 1000 shock test in each direction in 3 axes, and a 10 frequency sweeps test in 3 axes. It is certified for use both in America and internationally.
