The EPP3744-1041 is one of the most advanced box terminals engineered by Beckhoff for modern automation and industrial systems. Marketed as a differential pressure measuring box, this compact box module can acquire different types of electrical signals and transmit them to the controller. As an original Beckhoff module, the EPP3744-1041 supports EtherCAT communication and provides electrical isolation during transmission of data signals. The connection plugs for this box pressure module are 4-pin M8 connectors, typical for EtherCAT devices. The EPP3744-1041 comes with a compact form factor and well-designed module housing, allowing it to fit inside module cabinets. Like other electrical modules, this device supports DIN rail mounting.

During operation, the EPP3744-1041 can accommodate a maximum of six digital inputs and two digital outputs. The signal status for each interface port is indicated by a set of status LEDs. Aside from its robust digital input and output connection ports, the EPP3744-1041 also provides four ports for pressure inputs with a resolution of 16 bits each. Together with a host device or main controller, this box terminal from Beckhoff can be used to measure pressure from critical devices with respect to a reference pressure level. The EtherCAT P connection ports of the EPP3744-1041 support distributed clocks for synchronized operation. The P-coded connectors of the EPP3744-1041 have a minimum cycle time of 700 microseconds. As mentioned earlier, this box terminal has a rated voltage of 24 VDC. Whenever the nominal voltage for this box module falls below 18.5 V, a diagnostic bit is set.
