The EPP3744-0041 is a pressure and digital I/O EtherCAT P box module produced by Beckhoff in the EPP EtherCAT P Box Modules series. As a compact field unit, it combines distributed pressure sensing and binary signal handling through a single hybrid network connector, allowing installation directly on machinery where air or vacuum lines are present. The sealed housing tolerates splashing coolants and airborne dust, so the module can be mounted next to actuators while it links transducers, valves, and sensors to the EtherCAT backbone and draws control voltage from the same cable.
Signal handling includes 6 digital inputs, each drawing 3 mA at 24 V, and 2 digital high-side outputs that can source 0.5 A per output to solenoid loads. All channels share the module supply, which is rated at 24 VDC and supports a cumulative Us current of 3 A for sensors and coils. Communication and power reach the device through two 4-pin, P-coded M8 sockets arranged as in and out connections, so a daisy chain carries EtherCAT frames and 24 V lines without additional cabling.
