EPP2334-0061 is a Beckhoff EtherCAT P Box. It supports 8 digital channels. Operators can configure each of these channels as input or output channels. Input channels on the unit have a 10 microsecond filter. Channels configured as outputs can source up to 0.5 Amps. Outputs are protected from short-circuits and reverse polarity. The total output current cannot exceed 3 Amps. Sensors connected to P box get power from a drive block and the device can supply 0.5 Amps for all sensors. Signals to the P Box connect via M8 connectors. The compact EPP2334-0061 device is an optimal choice for connecting actuators and sensors to EtherCAT P networks. Voltage levels between -3 and +5 Volts correspond to a digital 0, whereas voltage levels between 11 and 30 Volts correspond to a digital 1.
Valid load types for output channels include inductive, lamp, and resistive. The rated load voltage is 24 Volts DC with -15/+20% allowed tolerance. The typical ON state switch time is 50 microseconds and the typical OFF state switch time is 100 microseconds. The typical value of the short-circuit current is 1.5 Amps.
