The EPP1809-0021 is an EtherCAT P box module manufactured on top of the already existing EtherCAT technology developed by Bosch Rexroth In 2003. This product contains 16 digital inputs, which it uses to carry binary control signals from the process level and transfer them to the controller while maintaining electrical isolation. The communicates operation status in real-time through the light emitting diodes (LEDs)integrated into its housing unit. The nominal supply voltage is about 24 volts. Also, the maximum current is 3 amperes while the current consumption from the supply voltage is approximately 100 milliamperes.
The digital input connections on the EPP1809-0021 EtherCAT box are type 3 connections according to EN 61131-2.
