Product Description:
The EPP2008-0001 is an 8 channel digital output EtherCAT P Box from Beckhoff Automation. This product is an IP67 device that is manufactured to carry out the accurate processing of digital and binary signals. Upon installation, the product connects the binary control signals from the automation device to the actuators at the process level. The output channels present in this product are designed to meet international standards; they are resistant to short-circuiting and can handle input currents of op to 0.5 amperes. The output channels can also withstand short-term overload without any risk of machine damage. The compatible load types that can be connected to this device include the Ohmic, inductive, and lamp load. Each output connections are M8 3-pin a-coded connections. There are also 2 M8 P-coded and shielded connectors that serve as the Bus interface on this EtherCAT P Box.
The EPP2008-0001 supplied a nominal output voltage of 24 volts, although this output voltage can reach a maximum level of 30 volts. Switching on time for this product is about 50 microseconds while the switching off time takes approximately 100 microseconds. The EPP2008-0001 does not produce a high amount of heat during operation and can comfortably regulate its ambient temperature through natural convection.
Each EPP2008-0001 product carried the CE and UL approval markings to indicate that it has been certified to meet scientific, safety, quality and security standards. It has also been cleared for use by the European Union.
