Product Description:
The PRD-B040ASIA-32 is a small-sized motion control device built by Kollmorgen Automation to provide improved automation performance through the closed-loop control of motor speed, torque, and position. This design of this drive makes installation possible even in environments where space is at a premium. The front panel of this product features a Seven segment LED display through which the Pico Drive is able to communicate with operators using specific codes. Other components present in the front panel of this product include the 24 volts logic power interface, the motor connection interface, the serial communication interface and the BUS interface. The feedback connection interface is present at the side of the drive. The input and output units on this product are provided with an optical isolator to protect the drive from high voltages and short circuits.
The PRD-B040ASIA-32 is a low-voltage drive that can be operated with motors featuring resolver feedback designs or halls-only operation. It can also carry out commutation initialization without motion. The PRD-B040ASIA-32 is equipped with the internationally renowned and patented sinewave commutation technology, which provides smooth and precise low and high-speed performance in connected motors. There are three digital inputs and one digital output on the drive that can be configured by operators. The configuration process is carried out through the MOTIONLINK software. The configuration software can be downloaded directly from the internet, or the CD-ROM included in the product support package

To optimize the electrical bounding of this product, the backplane on which this drive is installed should not be painted.
