Product Description:

The SERVOSTAR PD is an industrial-grade servo amplifier that ensures accuracy in relative motions involving a motor. This type of amplifier has some additional basic elements that suppress overheating even in different system configurations. The amplifier houses a lead loop resistance of 159.8 1/2/km and a maximum cable capacitance of 60 nF/km and both help in preserving the signals over longer cable lengths.

One of the main operating parameters of the SERVOSTAR PD is the inclusion of internal compensation of Tn, I-integration time in control loops which ensures reasonable improvement in input command rates and reliability of the system, particularly the motors stability. It allows it to correctly settle the operation of the motor and the operations input easily. Temperature control is also important and it is executed through heat-sensitive elements, in the most cases PTCs which are incorporated in the motor winding. Such elements are used to assure the motor does not overheat during operation and hence guarantees normal operation. More so, the amplifier has an SSI-interface, which provides cyclically absolute, serial position output integrated with the device posing it as an amplifier. This is important at applications demanding effectiveness in positioning the tasks.

For the efficient functioning, the SERVOSTAR PD has built in setpoint ramps which reduce the rate of change of speed setpoint, avoiding very large and rapid changes in speed setpoint that could make the system unstable. The supply filter protects the amplifier from interfering power supply cables. Additionally, the presence of a limit switch function also limits the movement range of the machine which poses risk while in use.
