This control allows axes in packaging, pick-and-place, and assembly machines to follow programmed trajectories accurately under changing loads.
The current regulators operate at 16 kHz, and the digital signal processor that runs these algorithms operates at 40 MHz. The current-ripple frequency reaches 32 kHz, helping limit audible noise and smooth electromagnetic torque. The position controller closes at 2 kHz, allowing submillisecond tracking of encoder feedback. Thermal protection disengages the power stage when the heat sink reaches 80 °C, helping prevent excessive component temperatures. The DSP core and embedded CPU share a common clock, maintaining deterministic timing between motion tasks and diagnostic services.
