Product Description:
The Kollmorgen PRD-PE205S0H-10 is a low-voltage servo drive in the PD Servostar Servo Drives series. It converts a 24 V DC bus into pulse-width-modulated output for permanent-magnet servomotors, supporting precise torque, speed, or position control in pick-and-place machines, conveyors, and small robotic systems. Integrated current monitoring and fault signaling allow the module to power the motor while protecting downstream equipment from abnormal electrical or thermal events. The compact design supports panel mounting in applications where installation space and wiring distances are limited.
At 45 °C, the power stage handles a continuous load of 0.13 kVA, delivers 5 A RMS, and draws 6 A from the 24 V bus. Internal filtering maintains the current ripple at a carrier frequency of 32 kHz, while the bridge switches at 16 kHz to control the voltage rate of change. For short bursts, the amplifier supplies 10 A RMS for 500 ms, while a soft-start network limits inrush current to 30 A and completes charging within 0.25 s. Bus supervision disconnects the output above 56 V DC or below 16 V DC. A 1 A fault relay communicates the trip state to external control logic.
The housing measures 140 × 108 × 51 mm, allowing it to mount on a DIN rail inside a compact enclosure. Installation requires a side gap of 2.54 mm and a top or bottom airflow clearance of 63.5 mm to support convection cooling. With a mass of 0.55 kg, the drive adds little weight to lightweight control panels and distributed motion assemblies. An internal sensor commands a shutdown at 80 °C, protecting the power components when enclosure airflow is restricted. The drive can be installed near miniature actuators when the required mounting clearances and ventilation paths are maintained.
