The System 2010 Controllers series is a modular PLC and control platform designed around separate system and I/O buses, allowing CPUs, interface modules, memory modules, power supplies, and I/O modules to be combined in different system layouts.
The series supports local I/O expansion, remote I/O operation, mixed-system configurations with other B&R control families, and communication through interfaces such as RS232, RS485/RS422, CAN, PROFIBUS, and, on certain interface modules, Ethernet. Controller configurations use application memory modules to store the operating system and user program data, with SRAM and FlashPROM capacities varying by module and with buffered RAM supported by integrated energy storage elements. The platform also uses dedicated base plate modules, plug-in system modules, double-row terminal blocks, and status or addressing elements such as LEDs, displays, key switches, number switches, and node-setting dials to support installation, diagnostics, and system management. Overall, the System 2010 Controllers series is intended for modular industrial automation applications that require expandable control architecture, multiple network options, and flexible combinations of processing, memory, and distributed I/O hardware.
