Its role is to expand the base controller with transistor channels suited for moderate-current DC loads that are common in packaging, material-handling, and assembly lines.
With physical dimensions of 285 x 40 x 185 mm, the 2DO428.6 fits a standard System 2010 slice. Its internal logic absorbs only 5 W, so the heat load on the controller cabinet remains modest. The module can deliver up to 16 A across all channels while any single output is limited to 0.5 A.
