Product Description:
The B&R 2DO430.6 Digital Output Module is a very strong and efficient part of the B&R System 2010, adjustable to satisfy different needs of industrial automation. Launched in 2010, this module has thirty-two transistor outputs divided into four electrically isolated groups, each containing eight outputs. This design allows it to be used in many industries without fear of safety or interference. The nominal switching voltage for each output is 24 VDC, with a minimum of 18 VDC and a maximum of 30 VDC. For one output, continuous current may reach up to 2 A, per group 12A, with simultaneous use not exceeding 75%, and the whole device can handle 48A. The above-average current capacity ensures that the components will work even under heavy-duty conditions, such as those found within an industry setting where numerous machines might be running at once. Leakage current when switched off does not exceed 1.5mA, thus minimizing power consumption.
Electrical isolation has been provided between PCC and outputs as well as among various groups, but none within the same group. The switching delay should not exceed 100 s during transitions between logic states, enabling rapid signal processing under resistive load while allowing a frequency of maximum 500Hz. Surrounding this model are features such as overload protection, which restarts automatically after 350 ms when cut off due to overloading. It also offers internal protection against peak overvoltage up to 55V (VDE160) and reverse voltage protection for turning off inductive loads having a supply voltage of minus 70V, with a short circuit current rated at 7A, ensuring strong response under fault conditions.
With its compact size measuring only 285 mm (height) x 40 mm (width) x 185 mm (depth), this device does not consume much energy since it requires only 2.9 watts at most, thus saving power resources and being space efficient, especially when dealing with limited areas or already packed cabinets.
