Inside the 40 mm wide housing, the module offers 16 bipolar voltage outputs, so one slice can support multiple axes or process loops. Each channel delivers a full-scale swing of ±10 V, compatible with standard drive and instrumentation inputs. A converter with 12 bit resolution divides that span into 4096 discrete steps, while a conversion time of 250 µs keeps new setpoints synchronized with fast machine cycles. At 20 °C, the deviation from ideal remains within ±0.25 %, which helps maintain predictable analog commands, and a first-order low-pass filter at 1000 Hz attenuates switching noise without sacrificing control bandwidth.
Accuracy stays within ±0.5 % across the broader 0 °C to 60 °C operating range, maintaining loop stability as cabinet temperature drifts. Each output can source or sink up to ±10 mA into loads of at least 1 kΩ, and fault current is limited to ±15 mA to protect the driver stage during short circuits. Overall demand remains below 10 W max, easing power-rail sizing when the module is mounted on BP200, BP201, or BP210 base plates. RPS isolation separates system power from field wiring, while the lack of per-channel isolation keeps the footprint compact for dense rack installations.
