The SM 35L-4000 is an IP64 compact industrial motor that is built by the internationally renowned Kollmorgen Automation to serve industrial systems. This motor is an energy-efficient device that only requires an input current of 4.3 amperes but can reach an operating speed of about 4000 revolutions per minute and produce a torque of 1.4-newton meters. The motor contains a high-resolution encoder feedback system that is responsible for its impressive level of operation accuracy in the servo system. There is a prime black RAL 9005 enamel covering the housing of this product; this enamel protects the motor against the destructive effect of corrosive liquids such as dilute acids, alkali, water, and mineral oils. The encoder installed into the housing of this motor is a single-turn encoder; it works in combination with the connected drive controller to ensure the accurate control of the motion system.

The power output of this industrial motor is about 0.56 kilowatts under normal operating conditions. There are two electrical connectors protruding from the top of the motor housing. These connectors function as an interface through which a power and motor feedback cable is integrated into the motor's housing.
