The 6SM 56-S-3000-G-RLG synchronous servo motor is produced by Kollmorgen for the 6SM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is a permanent-magnet actuator intended to supply precise rotary motion for automated packaging stations, pick-and-place heads, and other indexing machinery. When paired with a compatible servo drive, it turns drive current into regulated shaft torque, allowing closed-loop position and velocity control in compact industrial installations. Its synchronous operation supports repeatable movement during indexing cycles and other applications that require controlled acceleration, positioning, and stopping.
Under nominal conditions, the motor draws a rated current of 2.9 A from a three-phase 400 V supply and converts that electrical input into 1.13 kW of mechanical output. The shaft reaches 3000 rpm while delivering a continuous torque of 3.6 Nm. The copper windings have a phase resistance of 9.4 Ω, which contributes to resistive heat during operation. The phase inductance is 54 mH and affects the rate at which winding current rises in response to amplifier commands.
