The 6SM 27LL-4.500 is a synchronous servo motor from Kollmorgen’s 6SM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It delivers precise position, speed, and torque control for packaging lines, pick-and-place modules, and other automated equipment. Its sealed construction allows it to be mounted directly on machine frames. Compatible Kollmorgen drives supply sinusoidal current for closed-loop operation, allowing the motor to respond accurately to changing motion commands and load conditions.
During continuous operation, the motor draws a rated current of 0.79 A and produces 0.34 kW of output power. At 4500 rpm, the electromagnetic assembly produces a rated torque of 0.72 Nm, while overloads drawing up to 3.7 A of peak current enable fast acceleration. The IP65 housing blocks dust and resists water jets, supporting installation near active machinery. The motor has a phase inductance of 42 mH and a resistance of 37 Ω, which affect current-loop bandwidth and drive selection. Continuous electrical losses must be dissipated through the stator casing to control winding temperature.
