Product Description:
The 6SM 45-S-3000 is an astounding Kollmorgen motor developed under the 6SM product line. Like other motors in the 6SM45 series, the 6SM 45-S-3000 is a synchronous brushless DC motor best for highly dynamic applications. It features a built-in resolver that acts as a feedback element for precise position monitoring and control. Unlike traditional motors, this servomotor employs a neodymium permanent magnet for electromagnetic induction. In the absence of carbon brush commutators, the 6SM 45-S-3000 exhibits a higher degree of reliability and longer mean time between failures. Because of its ribbed motor housing, this machine does not require surface cooling fans.
Like most electrical devices under Kollmorgen’s 6SM product line, the 6SM 45-S-3000 operates optimally at an ambient temperature of 5 to 40 degrees Celsius. Below an installation level of 1000 amsl, the equipment does not experience derating. The mechanical ball bearing of the 6SM 45-S-3000 has an estimated lifespan that may exceed a total of 20,000 operating hours. With its B5 design, this motor can safely be mounted horizontally or vertically irrespective of the shaft side’s position. With its standard motor housing and construction, the 6SM 45-S-3000 has a protection class of IP 65 and a built-in thermostat for monitoring the machine’s internal temperature.
The 6SM 45-S-3000 operates at a rated speed of 3000 rpm. With this rated speed, the corresponding torque, current, and power developed on the shaft side are 0.8 Nm, 1.4 A, and 0.25 kW. At 20 degrees Celsius, the winding of this servo motor has a phase-to-phase resistance and inductance of 25.4 ohms and 54 mH, respectively. At standstill conditions, the motor achieves a torque and current of 0.85 Nm and 1.3 A, accordingly.
