The 6SM 45-M6000 is one of the high-performance motors developed by Kollmorgen, which is part of the 6SM Silent Motor.
With a rated voltage of 400 V, this motor produces substantial and reliable power, producing a rated range of power from 0.33 to 1.5 kW, depending on the configuration. It has a rated speed of 3000 rpm with a rated torque of 1.7 Nm, which makes it ideal for such components that require speed and efficiency in torque applications. This motor is enclosed in an IP65-rated enclosure, thus providing complete protection against dust ingress and also protection from low-pressure water jets, making it a reliable motor in industrial applications. The cooling process is natural or surface cooling, and this makes the design of the process straightforward because no other cooling infrastructures are required. It provides for flange mounting for secure and standardized installation and has a plug connector for simple and secure electrical hook-ups.
The 6SM 45-M6000 is compatible with several feedback systems, ranging from incremental and absolute encoders that can be implemented easily, depending on the system, for control systems. An option for a brake is available, which makes it applicable for load holding or emergency stop applications. The motor draws a rated current of 2.5 A and can withstand peak current up to 10 A, to allow the dynamic response and torque when required.
