The 6SM 37L-4.000-09 is a brushless synchronous servo motor built by Kollmorgen within the 6SM Synchronous Servo Motors series. As a compact rotary actuator, it converts electrical power from a matched drive into controlled shaft torque and speed. The motor is suitable for automated machinery such as pick-and-place modules and light indexing axes that require precise rotary motion.

During continuous operation, the motor delivers 0.5 kW of mechanical power at its rated shaft speed of 4000 rpm. At that operating point, it supplies 1.2 Nm of torque while drawing a rated current of 1.5 A from the drive. The magnetic structure contains six stator poles, so the electrical frequency required for synchronous operation increases with shaft speed.
