VLT3000 series of frequency drives manufactured by Danfoss support software versions 3.02, 3.12 and their latest upgrades. They are used to save energy and get optimized outputs from motors. VLT3004 is a member of this series and it has has almost the same overall and mounting dimensions as VLT3003. Wiring access for VLT3004 is provided through easily removable wiring access knockouts that are available at the bottom covers. It is very important to ensure that the access plates are in their proper place after completing the installation and wiring; otherwise the cooling mechanism of the frequency drive will not work proficiently and it may eventually affect the performance of the drive.

VLT3004 comes with an interactive control panel. It comprises of an LCD display and a keypad full of useful buttons. The panel also houses two LEDs that show the operational status and alarm status of the frequency drive.  It is very important to read the technical specifications and guidelines that come with the frequency drive before installing and initializing it. For instance if you want to use the VLT3004 with parallel or synchronous motors the load type option “Constant Torque” should be selected as it will guarantee the stable operation of the motor.
