The VLT FC Series control cards are the main control and interface boards used inside Danfoss VLT frequency converters, handling core drive control functions and the internal connections to operator and I/O hardware.
Because the drives contain DC-link capacitors that can retain hazardous voltage after power is removed, service work requires isolating all power sources and waiting the specified discharge time before accessing the control electronics. The control card assembly interfaces with the Local Control Panel and is mounted behind the LCP cradle and front cover, making it a field-replaceable module within the drive. It connects to the drive’s modular hardware through removable I/O terminals and option expansion positions, with shielding and cable routing provisions intended to preserve EMC performance. Depending on configuration, additional internal ribbon-cable connections may be present for optional functions, and safety-option variants require careful handling during disassembly to prevent connector or cable damage.
