The cables and accessories in this series tackle the everyday connectivity challenges that come up in automation projects.
Communication modules handle the usual inputs - RS485, LON, and Profibus DP-V1 protocols. These plug-in cards work with most major PLC brands and don't require extensive reconfiguration when upgrading systems down the road. Motor cable options are pretty straightforward. Shielded versions can run up to 150 meters while unshielded cables stretch to 300 meters, both maintaining full voltage at the motor end. The 0.6/1 kV rating handles the voltage spikes that frequency converters tend to throw around - sometimes hitting three times the DC link voltage during switching events. For basic connections, there are 1.5-meter RS232 cables for PC hookups and 5-meter plug connectors that work with pressure transmitters and sensor applications. The communication modules support auto-configuration through GSD files, which cuts down on commissioning time. Most modules handle acyclic parameterization, so parameter changes can happen on the fly without stopping the whole system. The modules are designed to swap out easily if protocols need changing later - just pull the old one and plug in the new card. Several items come in multi-packs, particularly the connector cables that tend to get damaged or lost during installation. The LON modules work with different controller families, including the EKC series and AK-CC platforms commonly found in refrigeration setups.
